More Streets of Dublin

So, back to the streets of Dublin with my little friend the Fuji X100s. Dublin is an amazing city, there is always something happening and it's full with interesting places and people. There is no bad time to go for a photo walk, you just have to grab a camera and do it. The more I do street photography the more I love it. And I hope you will enjoy the following images that I took around Dublin city centre in the last couple of weeks.

Streets of Dublin

Street photography.. Hm.. I always wanted to do it, but I guess I was too afraid of it. I was really nervous to get close to strangers and take a candid shot but the last couple of months things have changed. I'm still not a street shooter/warrior, but I feel more confident and step by step I overcome my fear of street photography. I also realized that people usually don't give a damn about somebody photographing them and most of them don't even notice me. Quite often I chose a spot what I find interesting and I wait for someone to walk into my frame. There is still room to improve, I still have to get closer to my subjects but I feel I'm on the right track and I'm really enjoying this whole new experience.

All images were taken with the Fuji X100s and the X-Pro1 with the 35mm lens.

My new toy

I surprised myself with a Fuji X100s before christmas. Like probably many of you I was thinking long enough whether to get the camera or a 23mm f1.4 lens for my X-Pro, it wasn't an easy decision, but I'm happy with the outcome. My wife reaction was 'Oh, an other camera again, but it's cute...' Probably my first digital camera where she showed some interest and wanted to give it a try too. Here is one of the photos she took of me.

But I don't want you to get bored(or scared) while watching images of me, so that's enough. The following shots are the result of the first couple of weeks with the camera which pretty much became my go to camera during this period.
